Telc examIt is an exam that measures language skills and is widely accepted throughout Europe and the world. It is mostly used to measure German proficiency. TELC (The European Language Certificates) is the organization that organizes exams at different levels. Founded in 1968, TELC is today one of the most respected organizations in measuring and determining language proficiency levels. Held in more than 20 European countries Telc exam, is held in China as well as in Europe. All of these exams are aligned with the Common European Framework of Reference for Environment (CEFR). It is organized in 6 different levels in total, from A1 to C2.

Telc Exam Levels
Telc exam levels represent the use of different language skills. Therefore, candidates who take the exam at the specified level and pass it can document their language proficiency at the relevant level with the certificates they receive. A1 is the level that documents the most basic language skills. C2 is the highest level. Candidates who take the C2 Telc exam and successfully receive a certificate are documented to have native level German proficiency and to be able to speak German at a native level.
